Chines New Year!

お久しぶりです。私の人生、引っ越し人生で今は香港です。今日はバレンタインズデイで中国での新年を迎えたということで、しばらくさぼっていたブログをまたはじめようと思います。
Today is Valentine's day and Chinese New Year! I haven't updated my blog for ages. I moved to Hong Kong and am starting my life diary for you again.

Tsim Sha Tsuiという所にパレードを見に行きました。写真のドラゴンやふわふわしてる御子さんとかは中国っぽくてよかったけど、世界各国からいろんなのがでてきて、もっと中国な雰囲気を味わいたかったかな。でもロンドンのノッティングヒルカーニバルで優勝した人達が来てて、ロンドンで人ごみの中でぎゅーぎゅーされながら笛ピーピーうるさいなかで見てたのとは違って、一組だけみると以外とすごいなとわかりました。
We went to see the parade in Tsim Sha Tsui. We were expected traditional Chinese stuff, but it was an international parade, and actually we were impressed by Notting Hill carnival performers the most.

お花のマーケットもでてて、バレンタインで買ってるのか、新年用に買ってるのかは謎ですが、たくさんの人達がお花抱えてました。香港のカップルは男子が女子のカバンを持って歩いてます。そしてとってもガーリーなカバンです。今日は男子がたぶん女子のために買ってきたであろう花束を結局自分で持って歩くはめになってるカップルがいっぱいです。すごい彼女達の誇らしい感じや、私のお花のほうが素敵でしょみたいな態度が見てておもしろかったです。

There was a flower market in Victoria park. A lot of people bought flowers for valentine's day or CNY. I saw a lot of guys are carrying their girlfriend's bags in HK, all the bags are very girly one's. Today they swapped the bags for bunches of flowers. I guess they bought them for their girlfriends and they have to carry anyway. I enjoyed to seeing the girls proud faces.

Michael Jackson Forever

　今日、マイケルジャクソンが亡くなりました。朝からショッキングなニュースにただびっくり。私たち、そして多くの人達にいろんな面で大きな影響を与えた彼。私の人生で彼の音楽を避難する人には会った事がない。そして何より、私が今日こうやって仕事に就いていられるのは彼のおかげと言ってもまちがいない。ロンドンの大学を卒業できたのはマイケルをテーマに作った卒業制作があったから。親にも狂ってるといわれた私の作品達は、マイケルという偉大な存在なしでは成功しなかった事でしょう。本当に彼を愛し、心から感謝している。プライベートではいろんな人達にたたかれ、大変な思いをした彼。これからは安らかに過ごせることでしょう。もう彼を避難したりするのはやめて、彼をもう自由にしてあげてほしい。マイケルさん、ありがとう。お疲れさまです。

Hail

時刻２時１５分頃、なんか空がゴロゴロしてるなあとは思っていたら突然、ヒョウが激しく落ちて来た。一粒がすごいデカくて、落ちるとすごい音が。絶対ケガ人が出たはずだ。一瞬にして銀世界へ。ああ、家の中にいてよかったあ。
It was about 2:15pm. I heard thunder and suddenly it hailed very hard. One drop of hail was huge and made a noise when it fall to the ground. I bet someone could be injured from it. It became all white in a short time. I was lucky being inside.

これが至近距離でみるデカいヒョウ。この後１０分後ぐらいには晴れだした。地球温暖化だあ。大変だあ！

Sewing club

毎週月曜日はスイス人のお友達のマヤちゃんと裁縫クラブをします。でも今回でまだ2回目。マヤちゃんは赤ちゃんもいて仕事もしてて自分の赤ちゃんの洋服も作っていて、尚かつ毎週スイスからお友達や家族が来たりでいつも忙しいのです。かわいくてちょっとクレイジーな彼女のバイタリティーにはいつもあっぱれです。今日は前回作ったパターンを使って布を切り、縫い付けですが。。。いつも彼女の息子のニールくんがじゃまをして来ます。ははは。
Me and My Swiss friend Maya have a sewing club every Monday. To be honest, this is only the second time as Maya is busy with her baby, work, making her baby's clothes and having a lot of guests from Switzerland every week. It's admirable her energy for all of this. We made patterns last time and will cut fabrics and sew.... but her baby "Nir" is always attacking us, Haha

こちらがいたずらっ子のニールくん。いつもよだれダラダラで私のこと見てます。今日は手を挙げて「おっす！」というのを教えました。「ママ」はあんまり言えないけど、「おっす！」は結構練習してました、ちゃんと手も付けて。両親、スイスドイツ語で話かけてるみたいだけど、なんとなーく私の英語と日本語も分かる。すでに国際人？
Here is a cheeky Nir. He is always staring at me with dribble coming from his mouth. I tried to teach him Japanese "Ossu!", which means hello, with lifting the arm. He practiced a lot and he is quite good with the arm! His parents talk to him in Swiss-German, but I talked him in English and Japanese. Is he already a clever international guy?

Special Treatment

ラッセルがいきなり今日は私の好きなレストランでおごってくれると言い出して、さっそくネットで調べてなかなかレビューがよいここ"Salle du sour"というお魚メインのレストランを予約する。予約は８時１５分で自転車なのでちょっと早めに家を出たら突然のスコールでびしょびしょになってレストランに着いた。でも前から自転車で何回も通り過ぎてて来たかった所でした。
内装は突抜の天井に大きなシャンデリアがついてて、真ん中にらせん階段があって内装の半分が２階建てになってる。個人的にアムステルダムの大きな窓とこういう２階建ての内装が大好き。私が案内されたのは２階席でした。ラッセルが１０分後に仕事からやってきて彼も前から気になってた所だそう。でもウエイトレスが彼のコート預かったのに、私は聞かれなかったぞ。
Suddenly, Russell asked me if I wanted to eat out on Friday night and gave and let me choose the restaurant. I immediately checked a reviews website and I decided on "Salle du sour" a fish restaurant with good reviews. Booking time was at 20:15, so I left my flat earlier as I cycle. But it suddenly started hard raining and I arrived at the restaurant wet. It was the place where I wanted to come when I passed there so many times.
Interior is open space and there is a huge chandelier in a middle. There is a spiral staircase and 2 floors inside. I was taken to the upstairs level. Russell arrived the restaurant 10 min later from work. He also wanted to come here before : ) The Waitress took his coat, but she didn't ask me though.

私はロブスター！ちょっと味つけが濃いかなー。でもサイドのフライドポテトがすごいおいしかった。今までかなーりの数のフライドポテト食べたけど、ここのはかなり上ランク。実は、デザートにチョコレートチーズケーキを頼んだんだけど、すごく手のかかってないデコレーションとたいしてうまくもないソースついててがっかり。
自転車での帰り、１０月とは思えない寒さに２度と冬の夜に外出するかーと叫びまくる。ついでにスビード出してきてラッセルがぶつかりそうになった車にも文句たらたら。ああ、気分よい。
My main plate is a lobster! I thought it was a bit salty. I really enjoyed fried potatoes side dish. I've eaten so many chips in my life. This one could be the one of the best. We actually ordered a desert to share, but I didn't like the sauce and boring decoration.
When we were on the way to home with the bikes, I had to scream " I'll never go out during winter-!!' It was so chilly. I also swore at driver who nearly hit Russell with his car. I felt better.
