Kusama Yayoi

草間弥生さんのエクスヒビションが今日で最後だったのでちょっと遠いけど電車で１時間のロッテルダムに出かける。念願の彼女の６０年代の作品を生でみれて感激。ミラーの世界、かわいいです。彼女の作品を最初に知ったのはロンドンの大学でテキスタイルを専攻していた時。そして初めて彼女自身を知ったのがロンドンのギャラリーで日本人アーティスト特集が開かれていて、アラーキーのエロい写真をじーっくり見ていたら、横から変な歌が聞こえるなあと思ってそちらに足を運んでみる。度肝ぬかれたあの瞬間！３メートルくらいのどでかい画面いっぱいに彼女の顔が写っていて、なおかつご自身の詩を読まれていた。もう詩がどうこうより彼女にびっくりしちゃいました。
I went to the last day of Yayoi Kusama's exhibition in Rotterdam today. It's 1 hour by train from Amsterdam. It was my dream to see her mirror exhibition which was shown in 60's, her mirror world was very cute. I discovered her when I was studying my textile course in London, I found her work in a book and became interested. At that time there was an exhibition of Japanese artists in London. I went there and when I was looking at Araki's sexal photos I heard strange voice. I walked closer and I was shocked! I saw Yayoi Kusama's big face on full 3X3 meter screen and she was singing her poems. I was just amazed by her face rather than her poems.

こういうニョロニョロしてる作品もかわいいのです。どことなく川久保レイさんと似通った所があると思うのは私だけ？　水玉いっぱいだし、すごい天才だし、２人ともおかっぱだし（関係ない？）。実はこのエクスヒビションを見る前に彼女のドキュメンタリーみたいな映画を見て感動しました。やっぱり有名な人達って並ならぬ努力と精神力を持ってると自分の今の状態を反省。
These works are also very cute. I feel her work and Rei kawakubo's work are similar, they like a lot of dots, they are very intelligent and they have similar hair style. I saw her documentary film before I saw this exhibition and was moved. It's necessary to work hard and have a strong mentality to be famous. It remind me of my life style right now.
